This wall hanging used three pieces of challenge fabric from another local guild. It reminds me of a trip we took to Yellowstone.

I've been reading the Elm Creek Quilters series by Jennifer Chiaverini. This is my first quilt, "Sarah's Sampler." It took from January to May to make the blocks. I hand-quilted from May until mid-August. I learned that quality fabric is important because it is easier to quilt.

My granddaughter called me the other day and said, "Grandma, I have a friend who needs a quilt like mine." This is a quilt I made for her friend from college. The colors represent Texas State University.
