Quilting Lessons

Each summer, the Shiner Heritage Quilters offer free quilting classes to young people in the community. Classes are open to youth ages 10 to 13. The 2010 clases are schedule for July 12 - 15, from 9 a.m. to noon at the First United Methodist Church in Shiner. Participants will need to bring a sewing machine in working order with instruction manual, several wound bobbins, beige thread, small scissors, silk pins for piecing, a thimble for hand sewing, and size 1 quilters safety pins.
