Here we added the pink/rose color
and put the square on point.

Next, we added sashing

Once the sashing was done, we added the outer sashing, a cream colored border and a final burgandy/wine border.

As you can see, we've started quilting.

and quilted in the ditch along each seam.

Here is the finished quilt. With the leftover fabric, the committee also made a bag to hold the quilt, and two pillow shams. The quilt is a large queen-size.

This beautiful quilt and a number of other items will be given away
on March 20, 2010, at our exhibit of the Supper Quilt.
It is not necessary to be present to win.
